About the Workshop:
The Insurance sector is a constantly changing sphere that calls for emerging leaders to adapt and grow in order to thrive and succeed. Often those wanting to take the next step in the field find it hard to see their full value and potential, slowing their progress in a world full of opportunities. Emerging leaders will need to understand their professional values and know how to cultivate a growth mindset to stand out and fulfil their career desires.
This interactive virtual workshop will provide emerging leaders within the field the skills to understand the strengths that they are able to bring to the corporate table to confidently unleash their potential. It will particularly benefit those who aspire to move beyond early management to broader leadership roles. Julie will guide attendees to unlock their potential through numerous topics, discussions and group and individual learning on a number of different topics over the 1-day workshop.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to ask your questions to a panel of senior female executives from the Insurance sector.

THE FACILITATOR
Julie Robinson
A corporate leader veteran turned facilitator and coach, Julie brings over 25 years of corporate experience to her leadership development, team development and coaching.
Having worked at Director level at an airline, financial services company, online gaming business and as a non-executive at a logistics organisation, Julie has extensive experience of directing global teams in the development of world-class products and services, leading change, and turning strategy into operational results.
Consequently, she understands the thorny challenges of leadership and developing high-performing teams. Also having made a number of leadership transitions, she has experience of the skills and values required when transitioning through leadership levels.
Julie was keen to share her learnings with other leaders and thirteen years ago moved into her coaching and development role. Since then, she has facilitated learning interventions for different size groups of leaders at different levels in a wide variety of business segments.
Julie holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Coaching and Development, a European Mentoring and Coaching Council Senior Practitioner accreditation (EIA) and studied the Psychology of Leadership, Change and Coaching with the CIPD; Strategic Planning at Cranfield and the role of the Director with the Institute of Directors.
She is also an accredited Insights psychometric profiling practitioner and facilitator and an accredited Q-OPD 360 Practitioner.
THE PANEL
Janthana Kaenprakhamroy - CEO - Talpoly
Janthana Kaenprakhamroy is the CEO and Founder of Tapoly, winner of Insurance Provider of the Year at the British Small Business Awards 2018 and winner of Technological Development at the European Business Awards 2021. Tapoly is a digital managing general agent (MGA) providing tailored commercial lines insurance to micro SMEs and freelancers. Tapoly also works globally, building end-to-end white-labelled SaaS solutions that utilise emerging technologies to connect insurers with their distribution partners across the world. Janthana was named Insurance Woman of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards 2021, was listed by Forbes as number 6 of the Top 100 Women Founders to watch and was named in the Insurance Business UK’s Elite Women List 2021 and 2022. Janthana is a chartered accountant and former internal audit director at top-tier investment banks.
Rachel Turk - Group Head of Strategy - Beazley
Rachel Turk is the Group Head of Strategy at Beazley PLC and a member of the Executive Committee. She is also a Board member of the Lloyds Market Association (LMA) and the London Market Group (LMG). Her role encompasses not only developing and delivering the group strategy at Beazley, but she also has overall responsibility for Responsible Business, Incubation underwriting (which is a central team working on solutions to currently uninsured risks) and Corporate Development.
Prior to her current role, Rachel led the US Directors & Officers underwriting team at Beazley, based in London. She was formerly an Equity Analyst at JP Morgan Cazenove and is also a qualified accountant.
Tracey Anderson - Head of Legal Retail and Life - Zurich
Tracey has a broad range of experience across the general insurance, life insurance and funds sectors having worked in (re)insurance all of her career. Tracey leads a team of lawyers supporting these areas of Zurich’s business and is a Board Director of Zurich’s Employing Entities in the UK.
Kirsten Mitchell-Wallace - Director of Portfolio Risk Management - Lloyd’s
Kirsten Mitchell-Wallace is the Director of Portfolio Risk Management at Lloyd’s, the world’s leading insurance market. She is responsible for setting and leading the strategy of the Exposure Management, Aggregation, Outwards Reinsurance, Pricing, Portfolio Analytics teams. This activity spans multiple areas from developing new accumulation scenarios for natural and man-made perils to building best practice frameworks for cat management and pricing, as well as setting standards and overseeing technical portfolio risk management in the Lloyd’s market. In her previous role as Regional Cat Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa at SCOR, she was responsible for leading cat teams based in Zurich and Paris. Before this, she was Head of Cat Pricing and Methodology responsible for coordinating the development of SCOR’s own view of risk. She built on almost five years’ experience as a Senior Catastrophe Risk Analyst in Willis and two in model development for RMS, as well as two years as a risk management consultant. She is the lead author of “Natural catastrophe risk management and modelling: a practitioner’s guide”.
Kirsten has a PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College, London and a Masters in Meteorology from Reading University, as well as a degree in Chemistry from the University of Bristol. She also has an International Diploma in Risk Management from the Institute of Risk Management and a certificate in Coaching and Mentoring.
